Jointly organised by the European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee, the 5th meeting of the European Migration Forum took place in Brussels on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 April 2019.
The Forum provided the opportunity for ca.230 participants, mainly civil society organisations to discuss with European institutions and representatives from local, regional and national authorities.
The meeting focused on safe and regular migration, for both humanitarian and other reasons, including a reflection on the role that civil society organisations and other local actors can play in this interaction between the international and the local dimension. It was also be possible for the participants to present successful projects to others at the gallery/stands on the first day of the event.
The meeting took place according to a participatory approach and participants actively participated and engaged in workshops and other opportunities to debate.
